Seafood Platter (Fried Catfish & Shrimp) review by Chan Tay
I had the Shrimp Poboy with fries . It was delicious. The shrimp were big and juicy not rubbery or tough to chew. My bread was nice and soft. The bread was placed on the grilled but wasn't greasy . Crisp lettuce and nice fresh tomatoes. The fries were fried golden brown and tender. I also had a side of cornbread with the greens drippings OMG. My party of six all had a clean plate. 10 all day!!!

I was happy that they used full sized jumbo shrimp in this meal. A lot of places advertise shrimp and use smaller sizes. The breading wasn't too thick as a lot of places do, so the taste was very good. The greens and the mac and cheese were pretty good as well, so overall, the lunch was definitely worth the value paid. The inside of the place looks great. They really did a nice job with renovating the house to a restaurant space. In speaking to a few other customers that were there, they were also first-time visitors and all of us agreed after our meals that it was definitely worth a follow-up visit to try other menu items.

I had this meal. My first time coming here. It was divine. It was seasoned to the bone. I had blackeyed peas and greens with honey cornbread. Everything was seasoned to perfection.

Seafood Platter was delicious. Seasoned well and large portions! Had the collard greens and mac & cheese sides which were cooked to perfection southern style. Highly recommended.

My company decided to try Nell Grace for our local lunch spot! I'm so glad we did! The food was AMAZING! We had 10 orders and I was able to contact them and place my order for a specific ready time. They accommodated us perfectly and even stayed in touch about minor delays which I found very professional. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The staff was welcoming and very hands on with assisting with my large order. I love that the location and surrounding area is being revitalized which is exactly what JXN needs. It was super homey and cozy in the restaurant and people were flooding in and taking their photos for memories. I definitely will be back with my family for lunch dates! I pray they stay for a while, it's much needed for a good soul food, safe, and personable restaurant in the downtown area!
